In connection with Netd@ys 98 more than five thousand projects and events took place involving 35.000 schools and organizations. Within the frame of the international Netd@ys events, schools, organizations and companies were able to cooperate and develop an exchange of experience through various projects.
Netd@ys Europe 99 was an European effort aimed at all organizations showing interest in demonstration of how interactive medias could be utilized within education and culture.
The aim was to get schools connected to the Internet and visualize and stimulate the development of pedagogic content on the Internet. Molecool – version 1 – was one of the official Netd@ys projects this year.
Molecool - version 2 is an official Socrates, and Minerva supported project. The game design is improved and the goal is to get it translated into at least fourteen European languages. The development of the educational content within the game is a multi-national cooperation covering parts of the participating countries’ curricula.
Version 2 has already been translated into eight different languages. We are constantly working on the educational content and some of this material is also translated and published. Within a short period of time two to three hundred questions will occur in nine different languages. New material will continuously be on line and new languages will be added.
